Shiftrade is a skill transfer platform operated by Shiftrade Inc. Our website is shiftrade.com. If you have any questions about this privacy policy or how we handle your data, contact us at hello@shiftrade.com.

2. What data we collect
At this stage of our platform, we collect only two types of data:
- Email address - when you submit the early access registration form on our website. We collect this solely to notify you when the Shiftrade platform launches.
- Anonymous usage data - via Google Analytics 4. This includes pages visited, time on site, device type, and general geographic location (country/city level). We do not collect personally identifiable information through analytics.

3. How we use your data
Your email address is used only to send you a notification when the Shiftrade platform becomes available. We will not send you marketing communications without your explicit consent, and we will not sell, rent, or share your email address with any third party.
Anonymous analytics data is used to understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it.

4. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Specifically:
- Google Analytics cookies - these are set only after you give consent via the cookie banner on your first visit. They collect anonymous usage data as described above. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking 'Cookie settings' in the footer.
- Functional cookies - necessary for the website to operate correctly. These cannot be disabled.

5. Data storage and retention
Email addresses collected via the registration form are stored in a private Google Sheet accessible only to Shiftrade's founding team. We retain your email address until you request deletion or until six months after the platform launch, whichever comes first.
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months in accordance with Google's standard retention settings.

6. Third-party services
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to analyze website traffic. Google may process your anonymous usage data in the United States. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not use any other third-party data processors at this stage of our platform.

7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your email address from our registration list at any time
- Withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your state or national data protection authority

8. California residents (CCPA)

9. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy as our platform develops and we collect additional types of data. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new 'last updated' date. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email.
